Chihuahua, chihuahua, chihuahua's a small dog, introduce yourself!

Well, I can tell you right now that I'm not as descriptive or "high klass" as the other contributor(s) but I can provide the following attributes to this blog.

  • My husband and I are in the process of experimenting with wine-making, jam-making, canning (possibly), and gardening so I can share those experiences.
  • I'm in the process of removing myself from fast foods. They've just lost it for me. My last two experiences have been lackluster binges that resulted in bloating and tons of guilt.
  • We live by a beef/chicken farm (with some turkeys and guineas/pheasants too!) so we can aptly afford free-range, yummy yummy local food. And let me tell you: delicious!
  • We have started frequenting the Farmer's Market and Farmstand frequently. Also very yum.
  • I still can't bring myself to buy all things organic. I'm working on it but when one spice costs $1.70 and the same "organic" spice costs $3.79, it's hard to justify.
  • I hate Wal-mart.

My name's Booklahver. I love food and I'm starting to really understand and appreciate that good food does not come out of a can/fryer/box. But that doesn't mean I won't stop eating that some of the time. :)

I still crave fast foods even though I know I'll be sick afterward. There's just something about the smell and the illicitness of it all that keeps me going back.

I have my own twisted sense of logic. After all, I'm the one who left Supersize Me wanting a McDonald's cheeseburger...kinda the opposite reaction I thought I would have.

Ooops...there goes all my food cred. Ha! Like I had any to begin with!
